Bath Time Crayons

I thought this was a good idea. Crayola said they washed off easily. YEAH RIGHT!! I had to get on my hands & knees and SCRUB like crazy to get her drawings off the bath tub walls and floor of the bath tub. I should have saved my money and just given her regular crayons to play with in the bath tub. No more crayon time in the tub, until Daddy is home to clean up the mess. : ) She did enjoy them.

A Day at the Zoo................

We spent Saturday morning at the Zoo today. Thank goodness we got up early to go. We got there at 9:30am and it was already scorching hot!! Anna Claire could have cared less. She got her Giraffe and bag of rocks and was set for the day. The Zoo got me with the bag of rocks. They had a display of tons of colored rocks. Of course, when Anna Claire saw them she went nuts!! I told her she could have a bag. I saw the price was $3.99 for a bag, no big deal right? Then Daddy picked out the pink bag and I realized it was a MAYBE 2x1 size bag. It was tiny!! Anna Claire and Daddy filled the bag and handed it to me. Daddy had it packed full, but then I noticed that Daddy wasn't much of a packer. There were only 5 rocks in the bag. Mommy, being wise with our money ~ LOL, was able to get 3 more rocks in the bag by re-organizing them. Was it worth $3.99 for 8 rocks, probably not, but it thrilled Anna Claire so that made it worth it.
Here we are riding the Carousel.

I had this bright idea that there would be a nice breeze blowing once it got going. WRONG!! There was no breeze. When Anna Claire saw the Carousel she wanted to ride the Zebra. I had planned to stand beside her to make sure she didn't fall off. We got on the Carousel and she decided she wanted to ride the Frog. I sat here on the Frog and she decided she wanted to ride the Panda. You see where we ended up.

How Can You Not Love Pups?

I decided to discuss Pups today because, well the story of Pups just cracks me up sometimes and it will allow me to share older pictures. Pups #1 was purchased back in 2007 from Toys R Us for Anna Claire when she was only a few months old. Daddy really wanted her to have Pups, that Anna Claire so thoughtfully named once she could talk. LOL!! I thought she was a little young for a Pound Puppy {yep a Pound Puppy ~ the same ones I had when I was a child}, but Daddy insisted. Now Pups is a traveling man/dog, but thankfully he is quiet and I do not have to worry about him peeing in the car, if left in there, or dying of a heat stroke. We don't travel far without Pups. He goes to MeMe's every Tuesday and Thursday {even though she has another Pups that stays at MeMe's}. On MWF Pups goes to Barnyard and on Sundays Pups goes to Church, but for some reason Pups stays in the car at Church. I can tell you, if you see Anna Claire without Pups, more than likely he is in the car. After a few months of being drug around, chewed on, slobbered on, and washed, Pups #1's nose started to chip, so we had to go buy another one. The EXACT SAME ONE, just new, fluffy, and clean. I had planned to toss Pups #1, but couldn't bring myself to do it. {Odd, I know} So, then Anna Claire started carrying 2 Pups around the house and to bed with her, but I was able to talk her in to only carrying one out in Public. I decided last weekend that she need another new Pups bc Pups #2 is floppy, dirty {I do wash them}, and his nose is now chipping as well. I was hoping she would start carrying Pups #3 to Barnyard with her and he would be her Barnyard Pups. We went to TRU Saturday to let her pick out a new Pups {Pups #3} and guess what she picked. The EXACT SAME Pups, just new, clean, and fluffy. Does she carry it to Barnyard? No, she still carries Pups #2 or it could be Pups #1, I'm not sure. We now have 3 Pups that look just alike and she loves all 3 of them the exact same. Pups #4 lives with MeMe. We also have a gigantic Pups as well.

Here are some pics of Anna Claire and Pups {there is more to this story after the pictures}

So, to know Anna Claire is to love Pups. After 2 days at Barnyard, not only did the Teachers know Anna Claire's name, they also knew Pups name too. Yesterday when I was looking through her back pack and I found this.

I got so tickled bc I'm sure she asked one of them to draw Pups for her bc she makes me do it.

Misc........................

This will be a post of many different things.

Anna Claire's 2 year pictures were made at Cannonsburgh in Murfreesboro. It was a great location for pictures, but the down side was there was too much for AC to explore. There was an area where Anna Claire could stand in the water, but she chose not too. LOL!!

Last Thursday evening we finally got the Expedition. Here is a picture of it.
I love it!! I love the extra room and how big it is. Anna Claire can ride on the middle in the Expedition, which is safer but not always do-able in other vehicles or if you have more than 1 child, and it's VERY hard on Momma getting her in and out!! LOL!! She loves being able to see out the front window. She has been looking at the back of the passengers seat since she was old enough to ride forward facing. It is very Mommy friendly. {I'm positive that Ford made these for women. LOL!!} It comes equipped with this little mirror that drops from the ceiling {like where the sunglasses holder is in the ceiling} that allows you to see the back seat. {Kerry says it's too see better backing up - what does he know?} It has this little compartment in the console {Kerry says it is for CD's - um yeah OK} that the small square packs of baby wipes fit in perfectly!! You can see that Kerry keeps knocking everything Mommy about it, but I just know he's wrong!! LOL!!
Saturday Kerry, Anna Claire, and I went to Murfreesboro to do a little shopping and of course visit Chuck E Cheese.

Sunday it was our turn to keep the Nursery at Church. This was Kerry's first time. There was only 2 little girls in the Nursery, one of them being AC. At one point Kerry looked at me and said, "Robyn, I do not want to pick all these balls up." There were plastic balls EVERYWHERE!! I then had to inform him that it was HIS daughter that had thrown the balls everywhere bc she was diving in the pool of balls head first. LOL!! She acts like her Daddy!! He got tickled at one point bc Haven was feeding her and I gold fish. He said that before I was a Mom I would have never let someone else's child feed me.

First Week at Barnyard

Monday, as you already know was great. She got a cheerful check on her sheet that they send home every day. She apparently greeted every person that walked in the door on Monday. Wednesday, did not go as well. She had about 5 breakdowns before we even left the house. Once we got to "school" she had a major Mommy breakdown. Anna Claire broke down and then Landon (the boy she hugged all day Monday) broke down. When I picked her up Wednesday afternoon she had a content check on her sheet, but she was wearing a pull up!! I was so proud of her.

Last night we painted her finger nails and toe nails bc she loves to have them painted. She moved before her toes were dry and got polish all over the couch. I said, "Anna Claire, you got polish all over the couch, now I'm going to have to re-paint your toe nails." Anna Claire responded with "awww bless your wittle heart." I cracked up!!

This mornings drop off at school went better than Wednesday. She immediately told Ms. Kimberly that she wanted to play outside. Ms. Kimberly told her that she would have to go dry off all the toys first and then asked Anna Claire if she wanted to go help her. She told Anna Claire that Pups {her Pound Puppy that she carries EVERYWHERE} could come with them, but they would have to hold him high so he wouldn't get wet. {Yes, on top of remembering all the kids names, Ms. Kimberly has also remembered Pups name} This thrilled Anna Claire, so she was ready to get down. Then Ms. Kimberly noticed Anna Claire's painted finger nails and Anna Claire was in heaven. She loves to talk about her painted finger nails.

First Day at Barnyard

Today was Anna Claire's first day at Barnyard {daycare/school}. We've been talking about going to "school" all weekend. I get her up this morning and ask if she is going to school. Her reply is "NO WAY". She is not a morning person. Once she gets good and awake, almost an hour later, she is ready to go. One the way to "school" we talk about what is going to happen. I tell her that, "Mommy is going to leave you at school to play with all the other children and when she gets off of work she is going to come back and get you." Her response, "I go to work to with you." After a few more conversations, we were on the same track. Anna Claire is going to "PLAY WITH THE KIDS", in her most exciting voice.

We get to Barnyard and we walk through E's class. Susan, sorry I have to share this. I am guessing all the children in his class were suppose to be sitting on the mat, some were up running around and hollering {being children}. I look down as I pass E and he has the most disgusted look on his face like "can you please make these kids do what they are suppose to". It was priceless.

We get to Anna Claire's room and there are 2 other children already there. One little white haired boy crouched down in the fetal position balling his eyes out and another little girl being just quiet as a mouse. I ask one of the Teachers if it was ok if Anna Claire keeps one of her Pups with her. Thankfully, she said she could keep it with her. {alert - there would have been a break down if I had taken Pups from her, as she negotiated with me before we left the house to only take one Pups with her instead of 2 Pups, her blankie, Goofy, and a Baby Panda} I'm talking to the Teacher and I go out to the car to get the rest of the stuff we had to bring. I come back in to Anna Claire hugging the crying boy and telling him "it's going to be ok." SWEETEST THING EVER!! I then notice that my 2 year old cares nothing about the fact that I am going to leave her there. She heads over to the table, as I follow her asking for a hug and a kiss. I had to stop her and turn her around before she would even acknowledge that I existed. She hugs and kisses me, YELLS bye to me, and proceeds to get ready to have a tea party with the quiet little girl that had followed her over to the table. Needless to say, the first drop off at daycare was not emotional for her at all. I then leave, with my feelings hurt a little, to head to work. There were no tears shed by either of us, mainly bc I saw Holli's husband in the parking lot, so I had to be a big girl and not some crying Momma dropping her kid off at daycare for the first time. LOL!!
